What people are saying...

Hillary Bennett

Marland, OK

My heart was left with the people of South Sudan. There, I saw such joy, despite starvation, disease, and poverty. I saw how God is using small acts to change a nation.

Wayne Kirby

Oklahoma City, OK

Wow, this was an eye-opening experience for me to see the need that the people of South Sudan have. It was a true blessing for me to be a part of such a wonderful team. I know I will be going back to South Sudan in the future, for sure.

Josh Smith

Royston, GA

Before I had seen the poverty and need and of the Sudanese people, I was a very proud individual. After seeing the need of the people and the way they live versus the easy life we live in America, I have now become a humbled person. My heart is forever changed because of Sudan.

Evelyn Harlow

Piney Flats, TN

It's good to be at home, but I must say a part of me is still in Africa. I would go back in a heartbeat ... I feel humbled that for a few moments in time our team was able to bring God's love.

Greg Almond, DVM, MS, DACVR

Auburn, AL

As a veterinary radiation oncologist, I use a $250,000 machine called a linear accelerator with software that costs $250,000 in a special building that cost about $1.5 million to build. When a little Sudanese girl broke her leg, I was stunned when I looked around and saw no x-ray machine, no centrifuge, no autoclave or other basic machinery found in almost any U.S. veterinary clinic. I was moved to tears when I realized pets in the US receive far better medical care than children in Sudan.

Rachel Hopper

Huntsville, AL

I'm trying to put into words what this trip meant, but I can't seem to find the right ones to convey my thoughts. I think the thing that keeps coming to mind is.....we have been so blessed, as a nation, and given so much. But beyond the material wealth, we have been able to live and worship in freedom and we take that for granted. If not for us bringing the word and showing love, who will?

Irvina Parker

Oklahoma City, OK

How can such sadness and dire conditions yield so much joy and fulfillment? It's simple; it comes from knowing that while you've made a difference in their lives, the imprint they've left on you is life changing and beyond explanation!
